Often times I look at all the festivities and joy surrounding Wanderlust yoga festival happening around America, and I really wish that there can be something similar happening in Singapore as well. After all, events like these bring about like-minded yogis and yoginis, and make the local yoga community a tight-knit one! So, when I was invited to SOULSCAPE by InTheLoop, Singapore’s online yoga, fitness, and health portal, it felt like a dream come true.
SOULSCAPE is Singapore’s first yoga festival that combines yoga, music, and dance and celebrates living holistically and consciously. The festival has a series of workshops and activities lined up for everyone to experience yoga, and connect with other like-minded individuals.
We were given a glimpse to all the different activities that were happening around Soulscape. There was Surf Set, Acroyoga, Slacklining, Primal Form, Hula Hoop and SUP Yoga. Besides these workshops, there were also sunset yoga and the yoga rave party that was happening later into the night. Not only that, there were many booths during the event as well, such as Rough Beautys, Rejuicenate, Lululemon, and many many more.
After the tour, the boyfriend and I attended the acroyoga workshop and we had so much fun! It was definitely a lot better than our previous acroyoga workshops. Trust and communication is really important for this one – and I’m so glad we really enjoyed ourselves. Am definitely looking at going for more acroyoga workshops in the near future!
Headed to the sunset yoga session after acroyoga workshop, and it was a great way to stretch it out and unwind a little after that adrenaline pumping acroyoga session. Really liked the ambience of the sunset yoga sesh and I really enjoyed soaking in the positive energy of all the other yogis who were there to practice in front of the sunset.
As we went into the night, the yoga rave party started as well! It was a intermediate flow yoga session with a couple of arm balances and inversions. This was my first time practicing under the night sky outdoors and I must say that it is a whole new level of relaxation. Imagine doing yin yoga on the beach under the night sky – how amazing would that be?
I had a great day full of yoga loving and fun, and I can only wish that it will happen again so I can relive this all over again. Most importantly, I was able to meet and connect with many other Singapore yogis who attended the event as well. Thank you for coming up to say hi! I really appreciate knowing every single one of you guys. <:
There is another outdoor yoga event happening next Saturday, organised by Lululemon Singapore! Will be sharing more details about it real soon, so do keep a look out on my Instagram page! xx
