Hello you guys! Can you believe it? It’s the end of 2014 and what a year it has been. There are so many ups and downs, but all in all, it has been a great year for me.ย 2014 is year of change and courage – it has been a lot about stepping out of my comfort zone, believing in my own abilities, but at the same time, it also allows me to do the things I love, and being open to all the new opportunities that come my way.

So, I thought I should share some of my highlights of 2014 with you guys!

1. Launch of sassy-yogi.com

tumblr_n1ca34BBUn1qjefdlo1_r1_500When my website was launched in February!

It seems so long ago when I started my website, but then it’s only 10 months ago. One of the key takeaways I’ve had since starting this website is that it is a lot of hard work, discipline, and consistency involved. I wish I was a lot more consistent with my website postings, and it’s definitely something that I’m still working on. Maybe one of my 2015 resolutions is to be more disciplined with keeping up with my social media postings on all my platforms <:

However, starting this website has not only allowed me to share my love for yoga with everyone, it also allowed me to learn more about yoga as I researched for more information online. It has definitely opened up new doors and opportunities for me as well. So, I’m really thankful and I’m still learning to do this better.

2. My first magazine feature

One of the major highlights of 2014 is definitely this! It was one-of-a-kind experience, and I remember feeling really nervous working with another photographer other than my boyfriend. However, thank goodness it all went well, and it was a really pleasant experience because of the encouraging photographer and assistant. Really grateful for the opportunity that came my way!

3. Promotional shoot with H&M Sport

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetThe shoot with H&M Sport was something really memorable. I remember waking up at 5am to go for a 7am yoga class in order to warm up for the shoot. And the 4-hour shoot where I had to change out of multiple outfits and repeat the sequence was pretty intense. But looking back, I have come such a long way not just in terms of my mentality but also in terms of my yoga practice as well. Definitely one of the major highlights of the year!

4. New friends and connections forged through yoga

Processed with VSCOcam with lv01 presetThanks to tumblr, Instagram, and this website, I have forged so many connections and like-minded friends. Going for yoga events was really fun and exciting all thanks to the wonderful people I have met. You guys have not only inspired my practice to do even better, but also enjoy the process as well!

5. Tirisula Yoga Ambassadorship + YTT

This is something that I have been saving up and also dreaming of. Getting the ambassadorship was something that I didn’t expect, but when I did, it was really the best gift ever! Starting my yoga teacher training in less than 3 weeks’ time, and I just can’t wait to see what teacher training is going to bring to my yoga practice.

I hope you guys had a great year too! Share some of your highlights with me below, and have a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration! Happy 2015! x
